BAND FUNDRAISER:
Do you have any spare pennies in your pocket?  Why not donate them to a good cause?  The Newell-Fonda Bands will be holding a penny war during home basketball games.
The band is hosting this friendly rivalry to kick off their fundraisers for a band trip for our high school students in the spring of 2015.
What exactly is a penny war? Basically, there are 5 competing staff members, each with their own jar for collecting money.  coins count as positive points (one penny is one point; a nickle is 5 point, etc).  Currency counts as negative points (one dollar bill is minus 100 points). The staff member with the most points win!
The winning staff member will choose something for the losing staff member to do.  The winner will choose from a list that includes singing the school song with the band at a basketball game or dressing up like Barbie and dancing to "Barbie Girl" as the Pep Band plays.
So scrape together your change put it in your favorite staff member's container!  Staff members are Mr. Dicks, Mrs. Devereaux, Mr. Baskerville, Mr. Barber, and Mr. Burkhar
